Cherry Central, in cooperation with its business partners N2N Global and IBM, has incorporated an analytics system to trace food items from the farm to supermarket shelves or ingredient buyer locations. As a result of this initiative, Cherry Central has improved productivity by 50% and shown its leadership in food safety.

Cherry Central appoints a new Director of Research and Development. Dr. Ramesh Avula has joined the company to lead efforts in the design of new products, enhance the performance of existing products and accelerate production and development efficiencies. “Ramesh brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be very helpful to Cherry Central. With the tremendous growth we are experiencing and the increasing demands to provide best in class products, this addition to our company positions us to significantly help our customers and our business”, stated Steve Eiseler, Vice President of Operations at Cherry Central.

With strong sales growth and an ever increasing portfolio of products that are exported around the world, the Michigan Department of Agriculture chose Cherry Central for this accolade.
