The Position: We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist.

Job Purpose: To post incoming cash and research and prepare accounts receivable deductions. Assist the AR manager and Credit Manger in daily routines of preparing credit files, gathering back up documentation and updating reports.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Posting Daily incoming cash and closing to invoices
• Close customer deductions in a 3- step process
• Scan all completed deductions into AR folder.
• Filing disputes with companies on questionable deductions.
• Updating deduction reports daily.
• Preparing and mailing/emailing customer statements 1 x month
• Generate back up through company portals
• Follow up on past due accounts

Qualifications: 

• Accounting experience
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in accounting a plus
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
• Ability to meet hard deadlines
• Ability to reprioritize quickly when needed

Working Conditions: This position interacts with many people in the company both on site and remote employees via phone, e-mail or instant messaging. The job requires long periods of sitting and computer work. Some lifting of light boxes may be required.

Physical Requirements: Periods of sitting and some light lifting. Long periods of computer screen time.
