2023 will not only bring a new year, but it will also kick off Cherry Central’s 50th year in business! On April 2, 1973, five Michigan farmers came together to form the Cherry Central Cooperative. Since then, our federation of grower-controlled operations provides centralized sales and marketing operations for fruits and vegetables in Michigan Canada, Washington, Utah, and Idaho.
Cherry Central will kick off its 50th year celebration close to where it all began- downtown Traverse City. Come gather with the city on Front Street to ring the new year in the way the Cherry Capital ought to…with a giant glowing cherry descending onto the city followed by fireworks! The CherryT Ball drop party begins at 10 pm and ends just after the new year.
