Investing in Michigan Kids: Cherry Central Supports the 10 Cents a Meal Program
At Cherry Central Cooperative, we know the power of good food—and we believe every child should have access to it. That’s why we’re proud to support Michigan’s 10 Cents a Meal for Michigan’s Kids & Farms program, which helps schools and early childhood education centers serve more fresh, local fruits and vegetables to children across the state. We are so proud that our dried fruit single serve snacks qualify for this amazing program.
What is the 10 Cents a Meal Program?
This innovative state-funded initiative provides matching funds to schools and early childhood programs so they can purchase and serve Michigan-grown fruits, vegetables, and legumes. It’s a win-win: kids receive fresh, nutritious food, and Michigan farmers receive support and recognition for the important work they do.
